Tribulus Terrestris and Testosterone

can tribulus boost testosterone?

When you look at the top testosterone boosters on the market, you find commonalities in some of the ingredients. I take that as an endorsement that these ingredients are worthwhile in a product like this. One such ingredient that I’ve found in a few of the brands I review on here is Tribulus Terrestris.

Curious as to what this ingredient is and what it does, I decided to take a deeper into its benefits and why it is such a useful additive in test-boosting formulas.

Does Tribulus Terrestris Boost Testosterone?

This ingredient is an herb that is found quite commonly in t-boosting supplements, but does it serve a purpose? I had to dig to find what this additive is all about, as there is not a ton of information out there on it.

However, the research that I found is not very promising. If there really was a singular ingredient that caused a man’s hormone levels to shoot for the roof, I would place a wager that you would find it in the medicine cabinets of just about every man in the world.

According to one study that I found, with the disclaimer that it was a very small sample size of only 16 participants, the effect of this herb on muscle size and strength aren’t very strong. In fact, when compared to that of a placebo group, there was no difference between the two groups when it came to musculature.

On the other hand, however, it was found to have a great effect on the male libido (their sexual drive). This leads me to believe that it is mostly added to the formula to increase circulation (which makes its way to the nether regions to improve sexual function) and to provide an energy boost.

Don’t get me wrong – that’s one of the benefits of taking a testosterone booster, having more energy and feeling more virile.

But, if you are looking to this ingredient as a way to increase testosterone production in your body, you are going to be disappointed. That is why it is used as part of a formula, and not individually as a standalone supplement itself, where it becomes a part of a complete blend that will boost your t-levels with the inclusion of other active ingredients like D-Aspartic Acid, Magnesium, Zinc, and others.

Summary of Findings

I’m not saying that Tribulus Terrestris is useless, just that it won’t help you build muscle. It can improve circulation, which improves the health of your organs and cardiovascular system, which contribute to overall health and wellbeing.

If you want to experience the benefits of Tribulus, you can find it in the following t-boosters that I review on this site:
