This is a method of CBD delivery that many are not very familiar with, but it can be used as one of the most effective ways to get the cannabidiol into your bloodstream quickly and potently. Using a wax CBD product is very similar to using a vape liquid (like the HempLucid vape I review here), though the only difference is that the substance is in wax form as opposed to oil.
To be able to vape this kind of CBD, you will need a vape pen that is capable of vaporizing wax. But if you have the hardware necessary to use this, you will be amazed by the results. Taking your CBD through vaping is the fastest way for it to absorb and release its effects through your body and mind. While ingesting it in the form of a tincture, capsule, or edible requires that it first enter the digestive system, vaping it skips this altogether and delivers it straight to the bloodstream, where you will feel the effects almost immediately.
There are a few selling points that make this a great buy, even if it means buying the necessary hardware to vape it first. As I see it, here is why this is a great option when you are seeking the healing benefits that cannabidiol provides:
As said above, you can’t just buy this and use it out of the box. Just like a vape liquid requires a vape pen (or mod, or whatever vaping device you prefer), this will require a vaporizer that is capable of vaporizing wax. You will be able to find a product like this at any vape shop (brick and mortar or online). You can use a wax rig or a modified vaporizer to take this product. It is not edible.
If you have any questions on how to go about using this product, the fine folks at HempLucid are more than happy to point you in the right direction. As they say on their site, they “take pride in being lucid in everything we do – it is in our name and in the way we approach business.” Just because this product may be foreign to how you are accustomed to taking CBD, don’t let that scare you away – it is one of the quickest and most effective ways to get your dose.
Like I said above, don’t be scared by trying something new – take a look at what real customers have to say about this wax on the HempLucid CBD site:

When you are in need of a CBD oil, whether it be for physical, mental, or emotional pain, you want it to last you for a while before having to take another dose.
I already wrote earlier about HempLucid’s technology that they infuse into their products (like how their Water Soluble CBD Oil Tincture uses nano-technology to absorb and dissolve quicker, to bringer faster effects) and the same applies here with the HempLucid Whole Plant CBD in MCT Oil. This product is specifically formulated to produce long-lasting effects, negating the need to have to re-dose to keep the good feelings going.
The thing that separates this from a typical CBD oil (like the ones from the brands I write about here), is that it uses MCT oil. This is short for medium-chain triglyceride and acts as a carrier oil to produce longer-lasting effects of the whole-plant, hemp-derived CBD. This particular carrier oil (there are other options, but this is by far the best) is great because it amplifies the synergistic “entourage effect” that you get from all of the cannabinoids and terpenes found in the hemp plant. Each of these compounds is beneficial on its own, but its when they are put together that they really boost the effects to bring you the relief you need.
This video serves as a nice explainer on why this form of oil works so well:
Beyond what I said above, there a number of reasons why MCT Oil is a great additive:
As for the health benefits of MCT (regardless of whether it is used in a CBD tincture or not), it is advantageous to the body in many ways:
You can get the HempLucid MCT Oil in the following strengths (prices vary depending on the strength):
Each bottle contains around 30 servings, with the recommended dose being about 3/4 of one dropper.
The ingredient list is quite simple for this oil, as it contains only two items:
You get exactly what you need, and nothing that you don’t! I like the simple formula with no unnecessary additives. Just give me the good, pure stuff!
Let’s see what other customers are saying about this HempLucid CBD in MCT Oil on their website:
If you want an effective CBD product that comes with even longer-lasting effects due to the inclusion of MCT oil, this is what you’ve been waiting for. A lot of people flock to HempLucid CBD because their products simply are among the best available. They have so many different varieties of products, all of which are made using cutting-edge technology to increase the bioavailability (the efficiency in which it absorbs into the bloodstream and begins to produce the desired effects.
No product in the HempLucid catalog is this more evident than in their arguably most popular product, their Water Soluble CBD Tincture. Find out more in my full review of this top product below.
As stated on their website (I can agree with all these points), customers like me love this product for three reasons primarily:
All of these selling points are made possible by the nano-technology that HempLucid uses to boost the bioavailability of their CBD oils. What this means is that the nano-CBD particles are microscopically small and mixed into a vegetable glycerine carrier oil, which makes them much more easily absorbed and dissolved into the bloodstream. This helps your body and mind to more quickly and efficiently utilize the CBD for the desired benefits.
More or less, the product begins to take effect immediately. With other brands of CBD that I review, there is maybe a 10-15 minute delay until I really feel the onset of the cannabidiol on my body and mind. I figured that was just the way that it is – like with any medicine. However, my mind was blown the first time that I used HempLucid and felt the immediate effects.
Here is a quick explainer video that illustrates it pretty well:
The most common way to use a CBD oil tincture is sublingually. This means under the tongue. The product comes in a dropper bottle, and all you need to do is squeeze the dropper to fill it up with the oil, and then administer a few drops underneath your tongue. Let it rest there for about 30 seconds before swallowing it down. By placing it under the tongue, it quickens the absorption rate into the bloodstream as opposed to straight swallowing it down to your stomach. However, you can also vaporize this CBD oil or add it to your food or drink.
You can get the HempLucid Water Soluble CBD Oil Tincture in the following strengths (prices vary depending on your choice):
Each bottle of this HempLucid CBD Water Soluble Oil contains:
I can attest to how fast-acting and effective this hemp oil from HempLucid is, but let’s see what other customers have to say on their website:

Want the quickest way to get CBD into your system? Then you need to stop ingesting it in an oil tincture, edible, or other forms, and start vaping it!
As I’ve written before (particularly in my Vape Bright review), vaping CBD is the fastest way to get cannabidiol into your bloodstream so you start feeling the effects faster and more potently.
HempLucid is one of my favorite brands of CBD, and of course, they offer a vape to help you get that relief you need, and fast!
I’ve written about this many times on this site, but if this is your first visit, I’ll go through why CBD is best delivered by vaping. Basically, what it does is bypasses your digestive system to get straight into the bloodstream. When you take cannabidiol in other forms – most commonly by using an oil sublingually, in capsule form, or in an edible – it first has to get to your stomach where it is then broken down and absorbed.
By taking your CBD in a vape, you bypass the digestive system entirely by taking it into your lungs through inhalation. This gets it into the bloodstream so much faster. Let’s face it – if you’re taking a CBD oil, you are probably in need of relief right then and there. Why not go with the delivery method that takes effect the quickest? Vaping offers the highest bioavailability, and it’s not even close.
Vaping your CBD has the following benefits, simply put:
I like the simple formula in this product – it gets you your CBD and includes VG (the most common vape liquid) as the carrier fluid. In each bottle, you’ll find:
With this formula, you’ll notice there isn’t any flavoring added. It has a sharp, natural plant-like taste to it.
The exact dose you need is hard to pin down, as everybody’s needs and severity of their issues varies. You have no risk of overdoing it, however. With trial and error, you should be able to determine how often you need to take a hit off this vape. It is recommended to use a high-quality vaporizer with this product. Also, you can mix it with other vape liquids if you prefer (particularly to add some flavor to it).
Since this oil is water soluble (similar to this HempLucid CBD oil tincture), it may also be mixed into drinks. However, if you are using this because you like the quick absorption that vaping provides, that defeats the purpose.

HempLucid is one of my favorite brands of CBD, and that’s because they make high-quality products that are innovative. While other brands have regular ol’ CBD oils, you will find products at HempLucid that you won’t find anywhere else. These unique formulas are specifically made with your health in mind. While cannabidiol itself provides many benefits to the body, you can do even greater good for your health and wellness by mixing it with different carrier oils to increase absorption and harness the benefits of the carrier itself.
The Whole-Plant CBD Tincture in Hemp Seed Oil from HempLucid is one such product that can bring you relief in ways that other hemp oils can. Find out how it does this in my full review below.
Just like with the HempLucid CBD in MCT oil that I reviewed previously, this particular product contains (as you could probably have guessed) hemp seed oil as a carrier fluid. Hemp seed is an ultra-nutritious oil that has been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years because of its holistic benefits.
Using hemp seed as a carrier oil unleashes its 3:1 ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty acids, which is the most recommended ratio for maintaining health in the body. On top of that, it contains a high amount of essential vitamins and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, and zinc. While CBD on its own can do you good, it doesn’t hurt to also get these essential nutrients while you’re at it!
Beyond just providing these nutrients, the hemp seed oil acts as a carrier fluid that helps to increase the absorption rate of the CBD into the bloodstream. This means you will feel the effects much more quickly, as well as much stronger. Hemp seed oil easily dissolves the CBD into the bloodstream which brings much more potent effects than when taken on its own. This is because one of the most effective ways for our body to absorb CBD is through fat. By using a carrier oil that is rich in healthy fats, like hemp seed oil and its omega 6’s, it is absorbed much quicker and produces more pronounced effects.
I touched on this above, but to break it down simply:
You can get this product in the following strengths (prices vary depending on the strength):
Each bottle comes with around 30 servings, with each serving size being about 3/4 of one full dropper (or around 20 drops).
The recommended delivery method is to take it sublingually by placing drops under the tongue. You can also add it to cold foods likes salads, smoothies, soups, or other recipes, but it is not recommended to be cooked nor vaped.
Let’s see what customers have to say in their review of their CBD in hemp seed oil on their website:
Just like with the other products I’ve reviewed from this brand, you can find this CBD in Hemp Seed Oil available for sale on the official HempLucid CBD website here.

After the Farm Bill was signed in late 2018, it became open season for CBD products to penetrate into all aspects of our lives. Not only are CBD oils more available (due to an influx of new brands that I review here), but we saw a rapid expansion of edibles like gummies and drinks, not to mention pills, capsules, vapes, and even CBD products for pets.
But most of those products already existed well before last year’s legislation. One area of commerce that had relatively few products of this type, but has seen a recent boom, has been the personal care industry.
As detailed in this article on Yahoo! Finance, a lot of the introduction of CBD into the world of topical products was seen when a company called Green Growth started selling their products at the major shoe chain DSW. Their Seventh Sense Botanical Therapy topical products were distributed to 96 locations of the shoe giant, just as a test to see how they would do.
They weren’t sure what would happen – neither Green Growth nor DSW. There wasn’t really any promotion, the sales associates weren’t given much education or training, but the sales have well surpassed both companies’ expectations so far. It is deals like this that have brought new awareness to topical CBD products to the masses. This rise is expected to continue, as Green Growth has announced an expansion strategy in partnership with Simon Properties malls to open more CBD stores. They have already opened stores in malls in three states and have plans for more expansion.
Outside of stand-alone CBD shops popping up in shopping malls, some of the large mass retailers are getting into the game, too. Neiman Marcus has announced that they will begin to sell CBD beauty products as part of its Trending Beauty initiatives. They will carry topical products from a variety of top brands both on their website as well as physical stores (starting with five upscale locales).
Many just think of CBD as a product that you ingest. While oil tinctures are the top-selling CBD products, you would be surprised to hear that topicals come in at #2, even ahead of the popular edible products. They have great use in skin care and beauty products, which I detail here. On top of that, they can also provide relief from aches and pains when applied topically.
Just like when you use Icy Hot when you have sore muscles or aching joints, topical products infused with CBD work in much the same way, penetrating through the skin to treat the pain and inflammation at its source. CBD has natural anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce swelling in the affected area, is rich in antioxidants to cleanse the area from within, and has antifungal and antibacterial properties that can soothe the skin.
As you can see, there are a number of ways that topical CBD products can provide benefit. If you’re interested in these kinds of personal care products, I recommend taking a look at these favorites of mine. While it is nice that the big retailers are starting to catch on, I prefer to buy from CBD-dedicated brands that have it down to a science. My recommendations are:
